Relay for Life was held at Grain Valley High School on June 12, 2009. The evening opened at 5:30 with a dinner for survivors and their care givers . Activities on the field started at 7:00 with the presentation of colors then the survivor's Lap at 7:15. Activities continued through the evening including a silent auction, cheer leading presentation and the chicken dance. Highlighting the evening was the lighting of luminaries & reading of names of those honored or memorialized.
